Deployable Mission Rehearsal
F-16 C
System Capability

- The FLYIT F-16 C Deployable Mission Rehearsal simulator is a
totally self-contained simulator with a diesel generator and 120v 240v external power connectors.
- Out-the-window view is projected on an 8 wide by 7
high screen.
- Up to twenty-five cockpits can be networked to fly missions.
- The system can be self-started by the pilot.
- Instant Combat puts you into battle without
preliminaries.
- Dogfight puts you head to head with other
cockpits or against the computer.
- Tactical Engagement allows complex missions to
be planned and flown.
- High fidelity simulation with few moving parts, low
acquisition and a low maintenance cost are the result of FLYIT "direct
technology."
- A true plug and fly simulator system.
Cockpit Construction
- Construction is ½" thick Sintra panels. This is an
extremely rigid structure. It is colored through the ½" thickness and, therefore,
cannot chip or peel; a maintenance-free finish. The construction is the same as the VolksSim2000 research helicopter simulator FLYIT has delivered to the
US Army.
- The cockpit perimeter and interior are dimensionally the same
as the real F-16 cockpit.
- No canopy will be provided. The canopy area will be open. This
configuration works well for the F-16.
- Cockpit interior dimensions and color are exactly the same as
the actual F-16 C.
- A pilot ventilation system is included and consists of a high
flow nozzle and general low speed, high volume air movement throughout the entire cockpit.
A refrigeration air conditioning system can be supplied at additional cost.
- The cockpit is completely self-contained with computers,
projectors and electrical mounted on board.
Instrumentation
- The cockpit contains a fully functional instrument panel.
- Left panel
- RWR, MFD, airspeed, AOA, and caution lights.
- Right panel
- DED, MFD, altitude, fuel flow, oil pressure, NOZ DOS
indicator, RPM, FTIT indicator and caution lights.
- Center lower panel
- AOA, ADI, HSI, VVI, instrument mode selector, fuel select,
marker beacon light.
- HUD
- The heads-up display is fully functional.
- All instrument panel and right and left auxiliary console
functions enabled.
Out-the-Window Display (OTW)
- A projection screen measuring 8 wide, 6 high
provides a 90o vertical and 110o wide field of view. A soft screen
is used to facilitate shipping and handling. A low replacement cost is achieved.
- The (OTW) LCD polysilicon technology projector provides a
resolution of 1024 x 768. Brightness is 700 ANSI lumens with a 300:1 contrast ratio.
Switch panels
- All switch functions momentary, rotary and potentiometers are
hard mounted and replicate size, shape, color and location of those in the real aircraft.
- Switch panels are modular and can be modified or altered at
anytime and are removable for service.
Controls
- The throttle is the same shape and feel as the real aircraft.
All switch and cursor functions operate. Detents for idle, mil and afterburner replicate
the feel of the real aircraft.
- The stick is a force sensitive side stick that feels like the
one used in the real aircraft.
- All switch functions operate.
- Rudder pedals are adjustable fore and aft.
Pilot Seat
- Construction is ½" thick gray Sintra.
It is dimensionally accurate with upholstery similar to the real aircraft. A subwoofer
is mounted in the seat structure to provide full-body environmental vibration.
- A four-point harness is provided.
Cockpit Lighting
- All information and instruments presented are self-lighted.
General cockpit floodlighting is provided.
- Switch panels are back lighted and flood lighted as
appropriate. A chart light is also provided.
Computers
- Two 2 GHz computers are provided.
- Windows XP (NT) is installed.
Software
- Instant Combat puts you into battle without any preliminaries.
- Dogfight lets you go head-to-head with other aircraft,
controlled by human of AI (artificial intelligence) pilots. A Dogfight arena can contain
from two up to hundreds of adversary aircraft. The action can be a free-for-all or you can
fly in teams.
- Tactical Engagement. You can program your own complete air and
ground missions, or load predefined missions that are incorporated in the system.
Sound System and Intercom
- A subwoofer sound system provides all environmental sounds.
- An intercom is provided for pilot/instructor communication and
pilot-to-pilot communication.
Instructor Station (optional)
- An instructor station with dedicated fault selection board and
flight segment review is available for additional cost.
- Keyboard and mouse and 17" monitor are provided for set
up of mission, location, weather, and combat threats.
- Desk and chair are located for easy observation of the pilot
and the Out-the-window view.
- Desk lighting is supplied.
Electrical
- The complete cockpit system operates on either 120v 15-amp or
240v 7-amp power.
- A regulated isolation uninterruptible power supply powers all
components.
- A diesel generator provides freestanding power.
- 120v 60hz and 240v 50hz external power connectors are
provided.
- Fire extinguishers are supplied in the cockpit.
Extra
- A complete tool set is included with each simulator.
- Extra projector bulbs and other miscellaneous parts are
included.
Deployable Container
- The aluminum enclosure provides rugged, lightweight protection
for the simulator with a 8" x 9" footprint.
Total Weight
- The gross weight of the complete self-contained simulator is
1,200#.

- FLYIT will train the customers initial technical team
in the set-up, installation and maintenance of the simulator.
Upgrades
- All components are easily upgraded to keep pace with aircraft
upgrades.
Customization
