Research Combat Helicopter Simulator

VolksSim2000

volks2000.jpg (14177 bytes)

The Research Combat Helicopter Simulator for the USAARL (United States Army Aeromedical Research Lab) is mounted on a shake table and is used for head tracking experiments.  Flight instruments are displayed on a LCD flat panel.  Accurate cyclic, collective, and torque pedals are provided.  The modular switch panels allow researchers to design their own experiments.

FLYIT is now developing a Research Combat Helicopter Simulator for the USAARL with 180° of out the window views.

FLYIT has also developed a low cost 3 DOF motion base that can be mounted under the cockpits.

Systran Federal Corparation in Dayton Ohio is providing software, flight models, and tracking systems for the Research Combat Helicopter Simulator.
